VISION+ EXCHANGE
CONNECTING ACROSS BORDERS
International exchange becomes most meaningful when young people do more than visit another country.
Visionary Plus develops programs that bring student-athletes, schools, families and communities together through shared experiences, using sport as a natural starting point for deeper interaction.
Programs may combine international competition with school visits, cultural activities, community engagement and opportunities for participants to spend meaningful time with their counterparts overseas.
SISTER-CITY CONNECTIONS
Existing sister-city relationships provide an especially powerful foundation for youth exchange. By working with municipalities and local partners, Visionary Plus seeks to help transform longstanding civic relationships into direct connections among the next generation, creating opportunities for young people and families to participate personally in international friendship.
BUILT TO CONTINUE
Our goal is not simply to organize individual trips. Where possible, we work with partners to create recurring exchange pathways that allow relationships among teams, schools, communities and young people to grow over time.
Programs currently underway or in development are helping connect communities in Japan and the United States, with the potential to expand more broadly across the Asia-Pacific region.

In the 65th year of the Honolulu-Naha sister-city relationship, Visionary Plus is helping create a new generation of people-to-people exchange through sport, education and community engagement.

A California select team, Team United States, traveled to Wakayama and Okayama with its middle-school players and coaching staff for competition, cultural exchange and community engagement.
